Ten Months old...

Well it has been forever since I have written my last blog. I find it hard to take the time to sit down and be able to write about the accomplishments that Bentley has made. So since I have found some time, here it goes!!!

Well Bentley is growing like a weed!! He had his nine month check up about a month ago and to say the least he is a big boy!! He weighed in at 22lbs 4oz and was 31 inches long!! It astonishes me just how fast he is growing! It seems like yesterday he was my little 7lb 4.5oz baby boy who slept most of the day! Now I fight him to take his naps so hes not a crank all day long. In between naps he is one playful little boy!! He is crawling everywhere and is very fast at it!! He also has been pulling himself up onto everything and walking while holding onto the furniture! It is so hard to believe that we will be celebrating his birthday in two months!! As well as welcoming daddy home for good from overseas!!!

Bentley and I cannot wait to have him home!! There are so many things that we are anxious to do with him!!! Oh and I cannot wait to get some sleep!! LOL!!! But in all seriousness I cannot wait to hold him and never let him go!!!

So, anyhow, we are still waiting on any sign of teeth for Bentley! This whole teething thing but no teeth cutting through is driving me crazy!!! Once the first one breaks through I feel like it wont hurt him as bad for the others and then maybe he wont be so cranky. Well at Ten months old, Bentley and I begain cloth diapering! I was so worried to start doing it at first! I thought it was going to be a lot of work, and a mess!! But honestly it really is not that bad at all!! Plus, it is so much cheaper!!! Oh and they are really freaking cute!!!

Well anyhow, that is about it for what is new for now... until next time!

My Pregnancy with Bentley

Well here I am 16 weeks pregnant and this is when I first started to really show! Also around 16 weeks is the first time I felt him kick!!! What an amazing feeling, which I do admit I miss! Although I do not miss him kicking my rib cage!! :) So anyways, at this time Brett and I did not know what we were having! We went for our check up and got our date for our ultrasound. We were to find out the sex of our baby on Brett's birthday March 30, 2010! What an amazing birthday present!! Its hard to believe that it has already been a year since this time!! Now our little boy is almost eight months old... but before I get ahead of myself, I want to continue with the story of my pregnancy!

This is my belly at 21 weeks 6 days, we just found out we were having a little boy and we couldn't be more excited!!! I was also excited that my belly was so little (even though he was growing perfectly) and that I had no stretch marks at this point. From this point on, I could really feel him moving around. He was very active after I hit 21 weeks. I gained 10lbs from 20-24 weeks and that was the first of my weight gain the whole pregnancy. From 24-28 weeks I gained an additional 10lbs and it continued after that! Our little boy was growing strong!!! We were so excited for him to join us in this world!!! We chose the name Bentley John for our little boy his middle name after his great grandfather on Brett's side of the family!!!

Here I am 26 weeks and 2 days pregnant and couldn't be happier!!! I was keeping busy by working at a local clothing store 2-5 days a week, and relaxing and getting ready for the new addition to the family when I got a chance. It was summer time now, and it was starting to get hot!!! My feet would swell and made it uncomfortable to stand for long periods of time. But it was all worth it!!! For the summer Brett and I would go up to Jericho Lake and go fishing, sit on the beach, or have a BBQ. We also went to South Pond and his fathers pool!!! Nice cold water to go swimming in was heaven sent!!! From this point on I gained weight but slowly and not so dramatic. Well sort of!!! :) I could feel Bentley kicking me all the time and it was such an amazing feeling. He was more active at night and would wake me up every night around 2:30am and I had to have my toast with peanut butter and a tall glass of milk. At this time I was sure that he was going to love peanut butter like his father and his grandfather.

And Bentley is GrOwInG!!!!! I have popped as I would say!!! It was like over night my belly got huge!!! And over night that my belly went from no stretch marks to a million of them. I still had cravings for peanut butter and milk oh and cereal!!! I don't think I will ever eat cereal again. Oh and thankful that my morning sickness had gone away since about 20 weeks but right around 36 weeks which is when this picture was taken I dealt with severe heartburn! At this point I had only 4 more weeks until we met our little boy and we were getting anxious!!!! We wanted him in our lives so that we could spend time as a family before Brett had to be deployed with the Army National Guard for a year!!!

 

So we got to 38 weeks and my OBGYN decided that since I was dilating on my own and I was so close to my due date that they would send me up to women's services to be induced on Monday August 16th 2010. She took into consideration that Brett was going to be leaving only 4 weeks after his birth and thought that the more time we had together would be amazing. This picture was taken the day before I went in to be induced. It was like I had a basketball under my shirt!!! Surprisingly I was not as nervous as I thought I was going to be about giving birth! I just kept thinking that through all the pain eventually our little boy will be in our arms!!! And that is what got me through labor.

My First Blog!

Well, this is my first blog ever! Never thought that I would be blogging, but its a great way to keep track of Bentley's mile stones and fill in family and friends as to what is going on in our busy crazy life! Well I guess I should start of by saying I cannot believe that Bentley is already going to be 8months old! where has time gone? In a little more than 4 months we will be celebrating his first birthday and getting ready for our wedding in June 2012! Oh and daddy will be coming home right around then as well!!! We cant wait for Brett to be home! It was so nice to have those two weeks of R&R together! He couldn't believe how much Bentley has grown!! Hes like a weed!! At his 6 month check up Bentley weighed in at around 21lbs and 29 inches long!!! Hes in 12-18month clothes and continues to grow!!! :) A huge milestone that we are coming to is he is creeping backwards and is very close to figuring out how to go forwards! Then I am in big trouble and I will be chasing after him around the apartment!! Another milestone that I am so excited about is, I can feel one of Bentley's bottom teeth!!!! His bottom left central incisor is cutting through and at anytime when he smiles we are going to see his nice pearly whites!!! he he!!! Its so exciting!!! Well I guess this will be the end of my very first blog, maybe later on tonight when I have some more time because the little man will hopefully be sleeping, I will write some more as to what has gone on in the past year plus!!!!
